“I am not photographing paintings. I am photographing the distance a person keeps from one.”
Mira Solberg spent four years embedded in museum galleries across Northern Europe, working with a fixed fifty-millimetre lens and available light only. The Viewing is the result: a study of attention itself, staged nowhere and found everywhere. Her prints have entered the collections of the Kunstmuseum Bern and the Huis Marseille.
